The Police Training College has established meaningful and productive partnerships with other Institutions.
NATIONAL POLICE ACADEMY:
The Police Training College is the first state police institution in India to have undertaken linkage with the National Police Academy through the Police Training Networking (POTNET).The network is in under trial stage.
NATIONAL POLICE TRAINING COLLEGE BRAMSHILL, UK:
A three Year Higher Education Link Exchange Programme has been initiated with National Police Training College, Bramshill, U.K., through the British Council of India, Chennai. Two officers involved in training activities visit the above college in U. K. every year for exchanging ideas and knowledge on training.
UNDP PROJECT:
The Police Training College, Tamil Nadu, has been designated as a Nodal Agency for providing police personnel who are going to man the ideal police stations, which are police stations being developed in a pattern under the project sponsored by the UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) called “Improving Organisations and Management of Law Enforcement in India”.
ANNA UNIVERSITY COMPUTER AWARENESS PROGRAMME:
The Police Training College and the Anna University have embarked on this ambitious joint venture wherein Computer training is being imparted to all Police Personnel in Tamil Nadu through the 240 Engineering Colleges of the State, which come under the aegis of the Anna University.
Till date over 14246 Police Personnel and
2585 ministerial
staff have been trained in basic Computer Operations all over Tamil Nadu.
BPR & D (Bureau of Police Research and Development):
Besides the regular cooperation and linkage with BPR & D, the PTC is having its trainers trained by the BPR & D at the PTC, Chennai.
